FRB NYC- Police Officers
Prior to the federalization and standardization of all Federal Reserve Bank police/security departments, the New York City branch had a large staff of state-certified peace officers to carry out its protection mission. Today, officers at the New York branch have a dual commission both as federal police officers and as state peace officers. This, along with their memorandum of understanding with NYC, allow the officers at this branch to enforce both federal laws and to patrol their multi-block campus issuing traffic and parking citations.
