Nicolas Auguste Laurens (1829-1908) - Les caresses de la vague, aka Catching Waves (1891) upscaled

OK, well, I've previously posted the line art copy of this image that appeared in a Paris Salon catalogue illustrée. All of the colour reproductions I'd seen on line were attributed to Paul-Albert Laurens - even the copy posted on Internet Archive. They all were either very small, were horribly overstretched upscales, or were prominently watermarked. What's more, some had distorted-looking colours.

Well, taking matters into my own hands (fnarr, fnarr) I took the best-quality unwatermarked reproduction I could find, upscaled it properly using Waifu2xbooru, and added a bit of digital noise reduction. The result may look slightly soft-focused, but I think it's not bad.
