Sunsets and Lightning Bolts

This past Friday we had a line of storms fire up near Madison that looked like they would bring promising views. Mammatus clouds quickly formed on the backside but were also obscured by low level clouds just as quickly. I set out to hopefully see them but they never fully emerged again but a glow to the west slowly formed and gave my wife and I a show. The lightning bolts were just the cherry on top.
