Canadian Inventions

Display for ToroLUG at Sherway Gardens Lego Store

This is the display for January 2014 at Sherway Gardens. I tried to pick significant innovations which have been invented, designed or built in Canada or by Canadians. To represent them, I tried to pick more generic designs which people would immediately identify visually instead of the original object: For example, the telephone is a modern one, even though Bell's original invention looks nothing like it.

One of my favourite memories was the 1984 Lego World Show which featured invention models as well.

Telephone (1876)

Basketball (1891)

Snowmobile (1937)

G-Suit (1941)

Canola Oil (1970)

Canadarm (1981)

BlackBerry (1999)
