too many barriers

there are too many barriers, too many obstacles - between me and God. putting them to death is incredibly difficult, and if I'm being honest, I'm feeling more sad than happy. but I know that it will ultimately turn to complete joy, because by removing the things that keep me from God, I am allowing myself to have a more intimate relationship with Him and to become more Christlike, which is what I want the very most.
