Calathea in sleeping position
What is special about all calathea representatives is that the leaves "live" and, to a certain extent, adopt a sleeping position at night: every evening they fold up with a rustle, in the morning they unfold again. The plants accomplish this movement with the help of a joint located at the base of the leaf.
