Catalina over Scarborough Harbour
Commemorative flight by IWM Duxford based Catalina G-PBYA to mark the 100th Anniversary of the Circuit of Britain flight by the Australians, Harry Hawker (Pilot) and Harry Kauper (Mechanic) in a Sopwith Waterplane. They landed on the sea at Scarborough in August 1913.
The Catalina is the oldest airworthy amphibian regularly performing in the UK. It saw operational service in WW2 with the Royal Canadian Air Force and this August celebrates its 70th birthday.
