Wild as it is. Series-2

Meesapulimala trek

It was a trek with least expectation as the main focus was on the gruelling trek and the breathtaking landscape. Though we found Tahrs at far away distances, they always had the leverage in spotting us and sprung up just like that. After around 3hrs trek when we were almost exhausted and ran out of energy, our guide was able to spot a herd grazing around just 200 feet away unknown to our presence. We slowly walked and paced up to the Tahrs. As the Tahrs were cannier than us, sensing our presence they started a commotion. As luck would have it, one juvanile was lying on the ground while the others were running for life. It was still resting on the ground when we came so closer. It suddenly panicked when it saw 4 humans surrounding it. It was so easy to catch this billy to have a feel of this lovely wild mountain goat. As wild should always be kept wild and are born free, we satiated ourselves in taking some fine images. After being in a tight spot, it came back to its senses and hopped off instinctively. This juvenile is less than a week old as the shredded umbilical cord is still evident on its underbelly.
