Prionailurus bengalensis is a small wild cat native to continental South, Southeast, and East Asia.
Also known as Asian Leopard Cat.
Malay: Kucing Batu
Length: 68 cm (Adult)
Mass: 3.9 kg (Adult)
IUCN Red list: Least Concern as it is widely distributed. Currently they are threatened by habitat loss, road accidents, and hunting in parts of its range.
Protection: LAWS OF MALAYSIA. Act 716. WILDLIFE CONSERVATION ACT 2010 .

Distribution: Eastern Afghanistan and northern Pakistan, northern and coastal India, Myanmar, Laos, Thailand, Indonesia, Malaysia, Vietnam, Taiwan, Sumatra, Java, Bali, Borneo, Nepal, Korea, Cambodia, parts of the Philippines, and Eastern China.
Habitat: Tropical and temperate forests, coniferous forests, shrubland habitat, and grasslands.
Reproduction: Between 1-4 babies weighing between 75-300 gram. The gestation period is approximately 60-70 days.
Diet: Rat, mice, gecko, lizards, frogs, small birds, and insects.
