Location: Lowland forest of Sarawak

Distribution: Sabah, Sarawak and northern Kalimantan (Indonesia).

Also known as Dring's Flying Frog or Charming Tree Frog. It was previously assigned to the group of Rhacophorus.

Kajau is Berawan language means charming, or pretty.

 

 

Feihyla kajau is a beautiful, small frog, reaching 20 mm in males and > 20 mm in females. It has a soft, high pitched call. Due to its small size, it is often mistaken as other baby or juvenile of other common green frogs e.g. Hylarana raniceps. It was scientifically described in 1984 by Julian Dring hence the other common name is Dring's Flying Frog..
