Description: The yellow-bellied bulbul (Alophoixus phaeocephalus) is a species of songbird in the bulbul family, Pycnonotidae. Colorful and easily recognizable, this attractive bulbul has a bright lemon-yellow belly, snow-white throat, bluish-gray head, and greenish upperparts. Lack of a crest distinguishes it from other similarly-colored bulbuls within its range.

Location: Lowland forest of Johor

Distribution: Peninsular Malaysia, Sumatra and Borneo.

 

Habitat: Subtropical or tropical moist lowland forests.

 

Calls: Coarse and dry-sounding.
