This species is officially described as Thelcticopis orichalcea by Ng, Court, Leguin & Rollard (2022).
Location: Lowland forest of Kuala Lumpur.
Distribution: All across Peninsular Malaysia, Indonesia (Silago in West Sumatra; Pulau Berhala in the Riau Islands), Singapore, and Borneo.
Toxicity: Medically significant (non-fatal).
Cases & Symptoms:
a) Patient 1 (42 yr old man): Severe pain & local swelling.
b) Patient 2 (57 yr old woman): Severe throbbing pain and progressive swelling. moderate neck and generalized joints pains (Ismail, Court & Anthonysamy, 2019).
