Logic // Emotion - Edited
For this photo, I of course had to use a tripod, and this time had people make circles with the glow sticks. I waited until just after the sun went down to get those pretty colors in the sky at twilight, and just captured the shapes made in 15 seconds.
Post processing: For this one, I did was slightly bump up the saturation and exposure to give even more color to the color of the sky, and make the neon lights given off by the glow sticks pop and be even brighter. I also took the advice of cropping out the tree on the right in the frame, and lowered the sharpness to take out noise.
On one side, the circles are really smooth and "no nonsense," representing logic. The circles on the right represent emotion, and they're a little more wild and done with artistic liberty. Not only did lowering the sharpness take out noise, but I like the more out of focus look; it increases the ethereal, dreamy feel of the shot.
