13002 working the hump in Tinsley yard, Sheffield. One of three Class 13 converted from six 08 shunters in 1974 at Darlington Works especialy for working this yard. By the early 1980s traffic had fallen off considerably and when 13002 suffered a major generator problem on 2 April 1981 it became the first of the three to be withdrawn. The overhead wiring in the foreground is part of the Woodhead DC electric system.
