Russian Palestine is a spatial image of the Holy Land, created near Moscow according to the plan of His Holiness Nikon, Patriarch of Moscow and All Russia (1605–1681). Now a significant part of this territory is occupied by the city of Istra (until 1930 - Voskresensk).
