Guitarist Roman Miroshnichenko

Roman Miroshnichenko is one of the outstanding modern guitar virtuosos. As his colleagues in the creative department say, he is the “gray eminence” of Russian jazz, it is his opinion that is taken into account when determining the main musical jazz trends. Roman Miroshnichenko is the first musician from the CIS and Eastern Europe to become a laureate of one of the most prestigious American awards, the Independent Music Awards.

The virtuoso first took up the guitar at the age of 14, and from that moment he never parted with it. The formation of the manner of playing Roman Miroshnichenko was greatly influenced by such great people as Al Di Meola and John McLaughlin. The guitar of Roman Miroshnichenko sounds in the soundtracks of domestic and foreign films and TV shows. According to the musician himself, his genre has no clear boundaries, his music is instrumental and in some way universal. Thanks to this, Miroshnichenko's melodies are understandable for people of all ages and nationalities. To understand the language of his music, it is enough to open up to it.

Collage of two photos. For the background, I took a fragment of the "Picturesque Bridge" in Moscow, during sunset. I photographed the guitarist during a performance at the NAMM 2019 music exhibition in Sokolniki, Moscow. Russia.

I would like to address the musicians on behalf of the fans: We are not returning tickets for your concerts and are looking forward to meeting you!
