Big Stone Bridge - one of the bridges across the Moscow River.
At the site of the later bridge, apparently, from the very beginning there was a ford in Moscow, through which the was a road from Ryazan to Novgorod. Then was arranged a floating ("live") bridge, bred for the passage of ships. Against bridge at the end of the XVI century. were arranged, All Saints (Water) gates of the White City, named for the nearby standing (near the modern temple of Christ the Savior) Church of All Saints, on the Moat. In 1643 by decree of Tsar Mikhail Fedorovich master of Strasbourg Yagonom Kristlerom began construction of the first permanent stone bridge across the Moscow River from All Saints Gate. In 1938, slightly lower down the river, was built, modern bridge.Currently, from the bridge offers views of Kremlin, the Cathedral of Christ the Savior, "House on the Embankment" Bersenёvskuyu, Prechistenskaya and the Sofia embankment.

The original of the temple was built in memory of the Napoleonic invasion by architect KA Ton. Construction lasted almost 44 of the year: the church was founded September 23, 1839, consecrated on May 26, 1883. The temple was destroyed at the height of Stalin's reconstruction of the city 5 December 1931. It rebuilt in 1994-1997.
