What I love about Wales...Photographing the ecology within Wales and promoting it is a privilege. The benefits of reconnecting with nature are immeasurable. This nature reserve and many others dotted around Wales represent how beautiful and vibrant the ecology of Wales can be in its entirety given the right conditions.

Virtually the whole of South Wales is under license for Natural Gas Extraction or Fracking that includes the Vale of Glamorgan.

BBC Radio 6

Government reveals it 'could' have a huge reserve of shale gas, which 'could' help with the economic recovery (not an exact quote}

Only this was said.....where's the BBC unbiased reporting, where was the balance....?

"shale gas is a highly controversial technology that has been an extreme pollutant where ever it has gone, highly unlikely to bring your energy bills down and is very unpredictable in it's recovery"

They tell you it won't be like Fracking in America - highly polluting, it'll be highly regulated! Yesterday the regulators had their budget cut by 30%.

This is before the cuts...

We live on a small Island where all of this will be on doorsteps. It will leave a filthy legacy, that the planet and you and your children can't afford. This is about short term politics.

We've been gas independent previously with North Sea Gas what did it do then? Polluted, bankers gambled, government let them, boom bust, rich stay rich, you and the environment pay.

We have technology to be energy independent, there is no need for energy poverty; renewables. It is the only real future investment. It can make you money and save you money, create real employment whilst improving the longterm prospects of your children and planet.

Where as the online report was more balanced:

But what will the public hear....the one liners on the radio? Government reveals it 'could' have a huge reserve of shale gas, which 'could' help with the economic recovery.

Our publicly funded PR machine is at work please don't be fooled :)

Channel 4 report today Dawn of a new energy age? It won’t be that easy fracking shar.es/xVHa2
