Tutor's Comments: You are correct to say that the colour red provokes appetite, but as this is a fast food environment we would expect to see a scheme that is stimulating and exciting - to encourage customers to eat quickly and leave. This is a fast food restaurant in a busy exhibition complex so bright contrasting colours are acceptable. The scheme you have presented is more of an analogous scheme with a blue accent, and it is more warm and relaxing than stimulating, so you may find that customers quite like the environment and will linder over their coffee rather than moving on quickly! Using the blue here to "cool off" the red and orange is not correct as we want the colours to over-stimulate and unsettle the senses.
You have represented your colours well with paint chips for walls, ceiling, woodwork and furniture, and an image to show the proposed style. The paint samples are a little on the small side. Consider your choice of white for table tops, bar stools and bins - these are high usage areas and will get dirty easily, and white is not really a suitable colour for refuse and recycling bins as they will look dirty and unhygienic. The board has been very well put together, and your samples are all very neat and well laid out, giving the board a professional finish.
