Leica M2 / Elmar 50mm f2.8
A legendary 35 mm rangefinder camera, made by Ernst Leitz GmbH of Wetzlar, Germany, and introduced in 1957. Around 82,000 M2s were produced between 1957 and 1968. The one above dates from 1960 and is an absolute 'minter'. Bought at a specialist camera auction in the mid 1980's, and included an equally fine leather 'ever-ready' case.
This camera just exudes a superb and timeless build quality ~ never surpassed before or since.
