Calm Before the Storm

Just before the first major Toledo Sub. meltdown of the summer of 2016, L231 turns the corner at DR after going via Fostoria.

What started out as a normal day on the old B&O turned into a raging shitstorm quicker than you can say "Harambe's dank kush". With severe weather on the way and a work curfew causing a backup of northbounds, LA desk had his work cut out for him.

At 3 PM when the curfew was lifted, D743, K596, L501, L231, and L507 all got to Deshler at the same time while 6 northbounds were attempting to get through or leave Lima. K596 died at Cairo, D743 held at Leipsic, L231 made it to Belmore, L507 held north of the diamond, and L501 didn't even make it out of the west siding at Deshler. So yeah, that was super cool to witness the first meltdown of the summer on CSX's Toledo Sub. and I'm sure there'll be more to come, needless to say I can't wait. Here is L231 at 4 PM, at 10 PM they were 3 miles south of town. It was lit.
