Thames Water, the people that cream off massive profits but are very slow to update and repair the piped water infrastructure. They are losing one third of all the water in the system due to leakage and in this case a new estate has been flooded due to their failings.
A large underground car park has been totally flooded complete with the residents vehicles in situ.
Disabled residents had to be rescued and subsequently people are having to stay in local hotels. Many thousands of gallons from a burst main have continued to be pumped into the adjacent River Lea and street drainage system for more than 24 hours.
