Big Dave
Big Dave! - 🍗🐶🍗Big Dave was brought to UCAPS over three years ago by animal control. He is approximately 5 years old, and has completed basic obedience training. But, the best thing about Dave is his signature hug! Big Dave is affectionately called an “Amazon Beagle” due to his size!
Dave was adopted. The family put Dave through basic obedience training. They spent a lot time with him and brought him indoors as well. He got along great with the other dogs, and was cat tolerant. However, he was heartworm positive when arriving at the shelter, and that was a Debbie Downer for the family from the beginning. Big Dave is on the list for heartworm treatment. Dave is Dave....and can be a grump sometimes. Dave is curious. One day, Big Dave was left unattended after the family had cooked a roast. 🙈 They walked away from it leaving it on the counter. Big Dave saw the roast, and apparently thought they cooked it for him. So pleased and excited, he pulled the whole roast from the counter, and he was caught red handed. They scolded Dave, and he didn’t respond very well to that. Big Dave was returned to UCAPS.
