Happy birthday buddy. You almost made it! <3
Today would have been his 12th birthday. I owe so much to this boy, He’s the reason I fell in love with Photography. I can’t remember a time where you weren’t there, in the backyard chasing me... pulling my pants off, fending off two rowdy labs because “THIS ONE IS MINE”, pushing me down so you could run inside, and most recently... taking up the whole bed and waking me up with your old man snoring. This dog has been nothing but loyal his whole life. He was supposed to be a family dog, but he decided from the beginning he was strictly a Brittany dog, and honestly, I’m glad it turned out that way. When everything else was failing terribly, your love and loyalty carried me through. I just can’t find the words to explain how much this guy has done for me. Even on the days I was too busy to pay too much attention he was happy just being with me. He may be just a dog to you, but he has been by my side, devotedly, for TWELVE years, I’ve taken care of him when he’s sick, cleaned up after him, cried when he had to go to the vet, happy danced when he learned something new, and hurt when he hurt so to me... he is more than he will ever know. “A true hero, will never be truly recognized, for he has no idea he is a hero at all.” My heart dog, my hero. “Sargent The Great”
