VIDEO - tidal wave

lots of people wrongly call tsunamis "tidal waves" except, of course, they aren't caused by the tides at all.

 

this one is the real deal.

 

I was driving up the seward highway with my brother in late september when we happened to see the wave (aka: bore tide) heading our way.

 

the thing was moving so fast that by the time I found a roadside turn-off, it had almost passed us by.
