5Q65 or should it be 5X65...?
Already delayed from an on time departure from Wembley due to an incident around Woking then being held at Worting junction to allow two passenger services to pass, the woes for the 56081 hauling SWR unit 458417 with 69008 and associated barriers as 5Q65 1435 Wembley Receptions 1-7 to Bournemouth T&R.S.M.D were about to get much worse.
The whole ensemble was stopped at Southampton Central for a protracted period (eventually departing at 22:20, making it 273 minutes late by the time it reached Redbridge) due to the unit potentially being out of gauge as a result of the new design of Damper mounts fitted.
Seen at the reopened Mount Pleasant footbridge crossing which now requires small steps or a ladder (or anything scavenged from the local businesses, in my case an empty cable drum!) although thanks to Wetbag for the use of his steps.
