The epic journey just to get our test strips. We use the mail order service through my insurance so we pay a $10 copay for three months of supplies. Nice, for sure. But, the first two times the supplies took two weeks to get here, we ran out of test strips and had to borrow from T1 friends.
This time, we had her prescription changed so she can use 13 strips per day, thus we can order the strips earlier. The order was shipped all the way to Santa Fe and returned for an insufficient address. They sent a postcard (to our insufficient address) to clarify, which resulted in no clarification - thanks UPS - so the order was returned to Las Vegas.
Upon my phone call, the prescription company sent the test strips to us to the correct address. The address, although delivered to multiple times in the past, was automatically changed within their/UPSs system. This took over 3 weeks and we were down to 2 bottles of test strips by the time we got the box. Dealing with all these prescriptions sometimes feels like a part time job.
