DAY 2: Vintage Camera Collection in Cortlandt Manor, NY

DAY 2: Photographed in Cortlandt Manor, NY, this small portion of a MASSIVE antique camera collection is owned by my Dad's best friend. We take old camera models from here and toy with at Greene Street as we try to figure out the art of film.

Pictured here is the Ansco Flash Clipper. Ansco was the brand name of a photographic company based in Binghamton, New York, which produced photographic films, papers and cameras from the mid-1800s until the 1980s. Says Wikipedia; it also sold rebadged versions of cameras made by other manufacturers, including Agfa and Chinon. A Minolta-built Ansco model was the first 35mm camera in space!
