Suddenly… the sun came up and sped toward the bridge of my nose at the rate of ninety-three million miles a second. Blinded and very frightened, I had to put my hand on the glass to keep my balance. J.D. Salinger

Nowadays, I always have a small book in my hand or at hand. I read it when I wait in line, or shop in the store, or on the train, or waiting for the train, or have to make an unpleasant phone call, or anywhere else. It kills time and keeps me busy & calm. And of course, I have extra time for reading. I got this idea at the airport, where I spent 10 hours waiting for the plane. Everyone was going insane while I was in the corner working on my project, and 10 hours later, I realized it was time to walk into the plane.

What strikes me every time I read a good book or biography is how the human brain works. It’s more than a work of art. It’s more than a miracle. How in the world can people create all this? How they can think of every little detail. And after I read, I realize that, after all, the human race is not hopeless. And if we exist, and if planet earth lets us and allows us to live, then it’s for more than just destruction; it’s also for the beauty that we bring into the world.
