Rann Utsav festival

This annually organized festival offers tourists to attend folk dances and music concerts. This festival provides an exclusive opportunity to witness the creative ingenuity of the artisans and craftspeople. Nearly 32 cultural troupes from various districts of Gujarat participates in the Dance and Musical Carnival. This festival is being held in them month of December and last for a 3-4 days but this time it was held for a month.

These performances are held in the Salt (White) desert but because of the unexpected rain showers it was cancelled for a few days so i was not able witness it myself. A grand Tent City of 400 tents, consisting of both air- conditioned and non-air-conditioned tents is set up on the outskirt of bordering village of Dhorado (Kutch). So i one can stay there and enjoy the cultural evenings and from this place they also organize bus tours to the city.
