Waverley Cruises In
On the 3rd October 2017 the paddle steamer "Waverley" (1947) passes under Tower Bridge with a cruise from Whitstable. This was a very pleasant surprise as I walked to my hotel and a shot I have been wanting for a while. Sometimes things just drop into place!
The "Waverley" is celebrating 70 years since her maiden voyage on the Clyde for the London and North Eastern Railway and is now the last steam powered sea going paddle steamer in the world. She made a fantastic sight in the Autumn sun and her whistle sounded wonderful across the Capital.
