Alan Cronin Beara Huntin.

Im doing a blurb book on the south west of Ireland Dingle Iveragh and Beara peninsulas at the moment and the deadline for ordering the book was coming up. I have Dingle and Beara pretty well covered but I needed to get a few shots of Killarney and the ring of Kerry to finish the Iveragh part. I have wanted to get up here for a few years now after reading in a hillwalking magazine that this was one of the top 10 vies in Ireland. I was finished work early Saturday afternoon so I decide to head for here. it was a fair aul hike to get to the summit but I must say I was pretty damn impressed. Stunning 360 degree views. This was by far my favourite view though looking towards Molls Gap. The day was mostly sunny but overcast in parts with some nice cloud cover and showers. Perfect weather for good light. I think I have rediscovered my love for Killarney, the secret is to ditch the crowds and clichés and head up to the mountains. Made it back home around midnight and up early again to head for Sneem for a short break, found a great new location of an amazing castle ruins near Cahirciveen, wrecked now but happy I got a few more shots for the book.
