Wood Sorrel

This striking little springtime wild flower was warming up to the warm early morning sun on this Good Friday 15.04.22 . Along with the wood anemone it is a prime indicator of ancient woodland. This composition was taken in crowd hill copse in Fair Oak, Hampshire.
