The Wear Ever company began making aluminum cookware in 1903 the same year the Wright brother flew at Kitty Hawk. In 1909 Admiral Robert Perry took Wear-ever aluminum cookware on his artic expedition. This particular coffee pot appeared around 1919 and can be found in the catalogues of firms such as J.W. Warren of Troy New York. This is a Canadian production piece marked Wear-ever Canada. Standing apx 10” tall this great looking piece is a little over half a foot wide at the base. It has a very elaborately turned wooden handle as well as a turned wood grip for the lid. Both handles are riveted to the body and lid. The lid is a full 5” tall when removed with a V pattern of drill holed on each of two sides - apx 26 holes per side. Inside are two separate perforated tubes (coffee grind stainers) for small or large quantities of coffee. The pot hold a full 64 oz. of coffee up to the base of the spout. This is a unique early and elegant coffee maker. I'VE DECIDED TO SELL THIS ENTIRE COLLECTION. FOR THE COLLECTOR, A COFFEE SHOP, RESTAURANT, ETC. THIS WOULD BE A STUNNING COLLECTION. THERE ARE APX 50 PIECES. IF YOUR INTERESTED, SEND ME AN E-MAIL, MAKE ME AN OFFER.
