Hamming it up at the bank
Ever go into the bank or anyplace in corporate America where people are stuck in their work clothes having a boring day and just decide to make everyone laugh?
When I walked into the bank this morning, my teller was standing in a patch of sun that was making him squint. I suggested he wear his shades while conducting my transaction. His low semi-disengaged energy changed immediately and he got into character, pulling out a cigarette and letting it dangle from his lip.
While I don't think the cigarette makes him look particularly attractive, and he is certainly posing for emphasis on how he feels about being at work on this sunny, gorgeous day he was in a great mood when I left.
It's the little things - you can improve anyone's attitude with a little humor and creativity.
Is there an attractive teller or barista or employee somewhere you frequent that you could spark a connection with his way?
