ISOLA DELLA CONA. RIFLESSI
UN' OASI DA CONSERVARE
Istituita ufficialmente nel 1996 in una zona oggetto dei primi interventi di ripristino dai primi anni ’90, la Riserva si trova nella parte orientale della regione Friuli Venezia Giulia lungo l’ultimo tratto del corso dell’Isonzo, su una superficie di 2.338 ettari, 1.154 dei quali in ambiti marini. Sito particolarmente adatto per il birdwatching (ospita oltre 300 specie di uccelli), è abitata anche da numerose altre specie: pesci, cigni, volpi, nutrie, rettili e i famosi cavalli bianchi della Camargue, introdotti nel 1991.

AN OASIS TO PRESERVE
Officially established in 1996 in an area subject to the first restoration interventions since the early 1990s, the Reserve is located in the eastern part of the Friuli Venezia Giulia region along the last stretch of the Isonzo river, on an area of 2,338 hectares, 1,154 of which in marine environments. A particularly suitable site for birdwatching (home to over 300 species of birds), it is also inhabited by numerous other species: fish, swans, foxes, otters, reptiles and the famous white Camargue horses, introduced in 1991.
