La Strada Alpina del Großglockner fu inaugurata nel 1935 e nel 2015 dichiarata monumento nazionale. E' un grandioso capolavoro d’ingegneria stradale che conserva ancora oggi il suo fascino originario: con 36 tornanti scavalca la catena alpina degli Alti Tauri, nel cuore dell’omonimo parco nazionale. Ogni anno sono circa 900.000 i visitatori provenienti da tutto il mondo che transitano lungo i suoi 48 chilometri. Dominata della montagna più alta d’Austria e da un’affollata corona di tremila, offre un emozionante tour in auto o in moto.

The Grossglockner Alpine Road was inaugurated in 1935 and declared a national monument in 2015. It is a grandiose masterpiece of road engineering which still retains its original charm today: with 36 hairpin bends it crosses the Alpine chain of the High Tauern, in the heart of the national park of the same name. Every year around 900,000 visitors from all over the world pass through its 48 kilometres. Dominated by the highest mountain in Austria and a crowded crown of three thousand, it offers an exciting tour by car or motorbike.
