Per fortuna sta sparendo dal vocabolario comune la locuzione Sesso debole; chissà da cosa è scaturita una simile definizione; certo è che numerosi studi abbastanza recenti hanno dimostrato scientificamente che sono gli uomini il sesso debole. Le donne infatti in passato sono sopravvissute meglio alle carestie o a terribili malattie grazie agli estrogeni; è vero anche che le donne vivono più degli uomini e nonostante questo per tanto tantissimo tempo sono state definite "il sesso debole".

Fortunately, the term Weak sex is disappearing from the common vocabulary; who knows where such a definition came from; what is certain is that numerous fairly recent studies have scientifically demonstrated that men are the weaker sex. In fact, women in the past survived famines or terrible diseases better thanks to estrogen; it is also true that women live longer than men and despite this for a very long time they have been defined as "the weaker sex".
