IL CENTRO STORICO CON LA DARSENA
.Passeggiare per le strade di Pirano e vie strette chiamate in veneziano “calli” è sempre un piacere, si può passare sotto gli archi più rappresentativi presenti nella cittadina, da quello Marciana a quello Dolfin. Il centro storico è caratterizzato da una delle più belle piazze istriane: Piazza Tartini.
Giuseppe Tartini fu un celebre musicista di spicco del XVIII secolo, piranese doc. Originariamente e fino al 1894, in tale piazza era presente uno specchio d’acqua, chiamato a quei tempi con il nome di “mandracchio”, limitato e ben riparato, simile a una piccola darsena, ricavato in un porto e destinato al ricovero di imbarcazioni di piccole dimensioni....ora sono ormeggiate barche da diporto e turistiche in quanto Pirano è molto frequentata da villeggianti provenienti da tutta Europa.

THE HISTORICAL CENTER WITH THE DOCK
Walking through the streets of Piran and narrow streets called in Venetian "calli" is always a pleasure, you can pass under the most representative arches in the town, from the Marciana to the Dolfin. The old town is characterized by one of the most beautiful Istrian squares - Tartini Square.
Giuseppe Tartini was a famous prominent musician of the 18th century, born in Piran. Originally and until 1894, in this square there was a body of water, called in those days with the name of "mandracchio", limited and well sheltered, similar to a small dock, created in a port and intended for the shelter of boats small in size.... now pleasure and tourist boats are moored as Piran is very popular with holidaymakers from all over Europe.
