Il Castello Estense di Ferrara è il monumento simbolo di questa città rinascimentale. Patrimonio Unesco, sormonta con le sue quattro torri il centro della città.
Ricoperto da caratteristici mattoni rossi in cotto e circondato da un fossato d’acqua profondo circa due metri (da scoprire con un curioso giro in battello), nasconde al suo interno prigioni e sale dedicate ad antichi giochi di corte. È un simbolo culturale, un museo, una sede amministrativa e governativa.

THE MOAT AT NIGHT
The Estense Castle of Ferrara is the symbolic monument of this Renaissance city. Unesco heritage, it surmounts the city center with its four towers.
Covered with characteristic red terracotta bricks and surrounded by a water moat about two meters deep (to be discovered with a curious boat ride), it hides prisons and rooms dedicated to ancient court games. It is a cultural symbol, a museum, an administrative and government headquarters.
