RAGOGNA. IL LAGO
IL COLORE C'E' MA NON SI VEDE
Collocato in una depressione intra-morenica dell’anfiteatro tilaventino, tra i comuni di Ragogna e San Daniele, il lago di San Daniele (o di Ragogna) ha forma ellissoidale ed è contornato da terreni paludosi. Alimentato da alcuni piccoli torrenti, ha profondità massima di poco meno di 10 metri e superficie di 0,25 km2. La dimensione attuale è circa un quarto di quella di inizio Novecento come effetto delle opere di bonifica degli anni Trenta. Per la notevole varietà della flora e della fauna che lo caratterizzano, è considerato un importante polo di biodiversità.

Located in an intra-moraine depression of the Tilaventino amphitheater, between the municipalities of Ragogna and San Daniele, the lake of San Daniele (or Ragogna) has an ellipsoidal shape and is surrounded by marshy land. Fed by a few small streams, it has a maximum depth of just under 10 meters and a surface area of 0.25 km2. The current size is about a quarter of that of the early twentieth century as a result of the reclamation works of the thirties. Due to the remarkable variety of flora and fauna that characterize it, it is considered an important center of biodiversity.
