Il territorio di Chies d’Alpago è posizionato sulla sinistra orografica del torrente Tesa ed è dominato a nord da una lunga catena montuosa, dal Monte Teverone (2347 m) al Monte Cavallo (2251 m), che segna il confine con il vicino Friuli.
Conca più ampia, quasi un anfiteatro rivolto ad ovest, l'Alpago è disseminato di paesi e contrade, tanto il Cansiglio è in assenza di insediamenti stabili, se non quelli storici, ancora rintracciabili, delle popolazioni cimbre che lo raggiunsero trecento anni or sono. Cansiglio e Alpago si accendono di colori incredibili, dal rosso al bruno al rame: è il foliage, che diventa un'esperienza nell'esperienza.

THE RUST COVERS THE VALLEY
The territory of Chies d’Alpago is located on the orographic left of the Tesa stream and is dominated to the north by a long mountain range, from Monte Teverone (2347 m) to Monte Cavallo (2251 m), which marks the border with neighboring Friuli.
A wider basin, almost an amphitheater facing west, the Alpago is scattered with villages and districts, so much so that the Cansiglio is in the absence of stable settlements, if not the historical ones, still traceable, of the Cimbrian populations who reached it three hundred years ago. Cansiglio and Alpago light up with incredible colors, from red to brown to copper: it is the foliage, which becomes an experience within the experience.
