LA GRAZIA E LA FRAGRANZA
Il macaone (P. machaon) è una farfalla appartenente alla famiglia dei Papilionidi. E’ una delle più grandi farfalle europee e considerata da molti come una delle più belle. Si tratta di una specie autoctona, presente su tutto il territorio italiano, che frequenta prati assolati prediligendo zone con clima mite. I suoi bruchi in natura si nutrono principalmente di Apiaceae selvatiche come ad esempio carota e finocchietto selvatici. Purtroppo, come altre farfalle, sta subendo un forte declino soprattutto a causa della scomparsa del suo habitat (prati incolti).

The swallowtail (P. machaon) is a butterfly belonging to the Papilionidae family. It is one of the largest European butterflies and considered by many to be one of the most beautiful. It is a native species, present throughout the Italian territory, which frequents sunny meadows preferring areas with a mild climate. Its caterpillars in the wild feed mainly on wild Apiaceae such as carrot and wild fennel. Unfortunately, like other butterflies, it is undergoing a sharp decline mainly due to the disappearance of its habitat (uncultivated meadows).
