LUCE A NORDEST
Rolle è una piccola frazione di Cison di Valmarino, situata sui colli delle Prealpi Trevigiane, attraversati dalla Strada del Prosecco. Nel 2004 Rolle è diventato il primo borgo italiano tutelato dal FAI. Già abitato fin da epoche antiche, a partire dal Duecento la sua storia fu legate alla presenza di una comunità benedettina, della quale resta ancora parte del monastero. È un luogo che spesso ricorrente nelle poesie di Andrea Zanzotto per la bellezza del suo paesaggio che spazia dalle colline circostanti ai vigneti “eroici” presenti lungo i ripidi pendii terrazzati.

NORTHEST LIGHT
Rolle is a small fraction of Cison di Valmarino, located on the hills of the Treviso Pre-Alps, crossed by the Prosecco road. In 2004 Rolle became the first Italian village protected by the FAI. Already inhabited since ancient times, starting from the thirteenth century its history was linked to the presence of a Benedictine community, of which part of the monastery still remains. It is a place that often recurs in the poems of Andrea Zanzotto for the beauty of its landscape that ranges from the surrounding hills to the “heroic” vineyards present along the steep terraced slopes.
