La Agatea (Felicia amelloides) è caratterizzata da un’abbondante fioritura simile a quella delle Margherite, che va da giugno a ottobre, nei toni dell’azzurro o del viola.
In giardino viene utilizzata per arredare aiuole e bordure e nelle regioni più fredde viene gestita come pianta annuale poiché non sopravvivere al gelo: nelle regioni con clima più mite e con poche e sporadiche gelate può invece essere coltivata come perenne. È originaria dell’Africa meridionale ed è perciò rustica e resistente. È dotata di una robusta radice dalla quale spuntano numerosi steli che formano cespugli alti fino a 30 cm.

Agatea (Felicia amelloides) is characterized by abundant flowering similar to that of daisies, which runs from June to October, in shades of blue or purple.
In the garden it is used to decorate flower beds and borders and in colder regions it is managed as an annual plant because it does not survive the frost: in regions with a milder climate and with few and sporadic frosts it can instead be grown as a perennial. It is native to southern Africa and is therefore rustic and resistant. It has a sturdy root from which numerous stems sprout forming bushes up to 30 cm high.
