FAGAGNA. OASI DEI QUADRIS
LA DOLCE ATTESA
Le cicogne presenti all’Oasi sono un’ottantina. Il loro numero aumenta durante il periodo degli amori in primavera e tra giugno e fine agosto, quando i piccoli nati nell’anno non sono ancora migrati, il loro numero supera il centinaio. Nidificano sia all’interno dell’Oasi che nelle zone limitrofe .
Tutti i piccoli nati al di fuori della voliera vengono lasciati liberi di migrare nelle località di svernamento, previo inanellamento identificativo. Una volta raggiunta l’età adulta i piccoli ritorneranno nel luogo di nascita per la nidificazione, creando così un flusso migratorio a cui potrebbero aggregarsi esemplari selvatici.

THE SWEET WAITING
There are about eighty storks present at the Oasis. Their number increases during the mating period in spring and between June and the end of August, when the young born in the year have not yet migrated, their number exceeds a hundred. They nest both inside the Oasis and in the surrounding areas.
All the young born outside the aviary are left free to migrate to the wintering areas, after identification ringing. Once they reach adulthood, the chicks will return to their place of birth for nesting, thus creating a migratory flow to which wild specimens could join.
