La Piazza dell'Arengo o Piazza Arringo, è così chiamata dalle adunanze popolari che vi si tenevano, fin dalle origini della vita politica della città, sotto un olmo. Ancora oggi è il centro civile e religioso di Ascoli, segnata dalla presenza della Cattedrale, dei palazzi dell'Episcopio e del Palazzo Comunale detto dell'Arengo.

The Piazza dell'Arengo or Piazza Arringo, is so called by the popular meetings that were held there, since the origins of the political life of the city, under an elm. Even today it is the civil and religious center of Ascoli, marked by the presence of the Cathedral, the palaces of the Episcopio and the Palazzo Comunale known as the Arengo.
