Symbol of a dying industry.

The two bottle ovens on the site of the old Falcon Pottery Works in Sturgess Street, Stoke in Stoke-on-Trent, Staffordshire.

The factory complex was built between 1902 and 1905, as an extension to the Victorian pottery works belonging to W. H. Goss, and now sit behind the Portmeirion factory on London Road.

Like so many of its contemporary factories it lies decaying, but at least still standing, the vast majority having now been dismantled or collapsed.

This range and kilns along with the opposite two ranges are grade II listed.
