It's lost its support!

The old Victoria Hotel, a pub once popular with the supporters of Stoke City football club sitting close to the site of the old Victoria Ground, just outside the centre of the town of Stoke.

This former licensed premises straddles the junction of Campbell Road, Fletcher Road and Boothen Road (another name synonymous with the old football ground, which had a "Boothen End" terrace).

Unfortunately, the pubs decline was probably associated with the relocation of the football ground to a new site.

My memories of The Victoria revolve around a game of squash at the nearby Booth Street recreation centre, then a pint to follow in the pub along with a game of snooker on one of the upstairs tables. I only used the pub a couple of times on match days.
