Free trade in the city!
Industry in the centre of the town. Webberley Limited acquired the Free Trade Building in 1920 and seemingly started trading from the premises in 1924 as a printers, book store and fancy goods supplier.
The building sits on the corner of Tontine Street and Percy Street in the heart of Hanley, Stoke-on-Trent, and dates back to the 1880's.
Webberley's, trading since 1913, principally use the first two floors as a book shop and arts and crafts store and is always a pleasure to visit, a veritable treasure trove.
The adjoining building is the old General Post Office.
The tall building in the distance is Blackburn House, home to the local Inland Revenue branch.
